Damson-hop aphid (Phorodon humuli Schrk.) and its harmfullness of Hops under conditions of North-East region of Russia

Comparative damaging of Hop varieties by damson-hop aphid was investigated. The seven Hop cultivars of middle and middle-late maturity groups are determined. For investigation of development of population, its life cycle and phenology, a distribution of phytophage on selection hop garden was monitored in 2005-2009. It was established, that damson-hop aphid develops in 9 generations. The middle maturing group of Hop varieties showed resistance to damage, for middle-late maturing group is characteristic by leaving from damage by phytophage.
