On the relationship of marmots (Marmota) and predators which pursuit them

The main natural enemies of marmots are wolves, fox, corsacs, steppe polecat, badgers and largest representatives of raptors. Total losses from predators are estimated as: 4,7-5,2% for European steppe marmot, 9,2-10,1 for Kazakh steppe marmot, 4,9-9,4% for gray marmot, up to 12,6 for tarbagan. and 1,4-5,6 of Menzbir’s marmot.
