Development of real-time PCR for detection and differentiation of rabies virus's field isolates from the vaccine strain

The method for real-time PCR (RT-PCR) to detect rabies virus and differentiation of field isolates of the virus from the vaccine strain RV-97 is developed. The analytical sensitivity of the method is not more than 3,18 lg TCID₅₀/ml for the field isolates and 2,32 lg TCID₅₀/ml for the vaccine strain. The specificity of the method is tested for viruses belonging to the family Rhabdoviridae.
