Dynamics of reserves of productive moisture in drained sod-podzolic gley sandy loam soil under timothy crops
E-mail: niish-sc@mail.ru
The closed drainage eliminates superfluous humidifying of sod-podzolic gley soils in spring and autumn. In a root-inhabited and meter layer the humidity of soil was in an interval "field moisture capacity" – "discontinuous capillary moisture" during all growth season of timothy plants. Water supply of plants in this period was determined by dropping out precipitations. The stocks of moisture in a meter layer of soil at spring snow thawing annually replenish and, as a rule, exceed field moisture capacity of soil.
