Influence of herbicides on oil flax productivity under conditions of the Volgograd region

One of the reasons for the low yields of oil flax on region is raised contamination of crops. The main purpose of our research was the substantiation of seed rates and influence of herbicides on yield and quality of oil seeds of flax varieties in the steppe zone of the light-brown and Chernozem soils of the Volgograd region. The article presents the results of application of various herbicides and their tank mixtures on crops of flax in two soil zones of the Volgograd region. Herbicide Lontrel 300 provided greatest increase of yield on Chernozem soils; herbicide Elf - on light-brown soils. Variety VNIIMK 620 has highest yield on Chernozem soils, and variety VNIIMK-622 - on light-brown soil.
