Results of breeding of sires by different selection methods: one-stage selection for milk fat only, stage-by-stage selection for milking speed and milk fat, stage-by-stage selection for single yield of milk and milk fat, stage-by-stage selection for single yield of milk, milking speed and milk fat are shown. Efficiency of selection was estimated by value of genetic superiority. Two-stage selection of sires with 10% rejection for milking speed and 63% rejection for milk fat allows to raise general efficiency of selection on 9%, stage-by-stage selection with 10% rejection for single yield of milk and 63% rejection for milk fat – on 6%, Input of three-stage selection of sires with 10% rejection for milking speed, 10% rejection for single yield of milk and 60% rejection for milk fat promotes increase of general efficiency of selection on 14%.
